Grievance Policy
At Bridging the Gap, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment. We value transparency, accountability, and open communication. This grievance policy outlines the process for addressing concerns or complaints in a fair and timely manner.
1. Purpose
This policy provides a structured process for individuals to raise concerns related to discrimination, harassment, unfair treatment, or any other grievances regarding our programs, services, or workplace environment.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all stakeholders, including employees, contractors, partners, clients, and participants in our programs.
3. Grievance Submission Process
If you have a concern, we encourage you to address it through the following steps:
Step 1: Informal Resolution
If you feel comfortable, discuss the issue directly with the person(s) involved.
If the issue remains unresolved, seek support from a manager or designated representative.
Step 2: Formal Complaint
If the matter cannot be resolved informally, submit a written grievance via email to dradams@bridgeallgaps.com with the following details:
Your name and contact information
A clear description of the grievance
Any supporting evidence or documentation
The outcome you are seeking
Step 3: Review and Investigation
Upon receipt of the grievance, an internal review will be conducted.
The investigation may involve discussions with relevant parties and a review of supporting documents.
The complainant will be kept informed of the progress and expected resolution timeline.
Step 4: Resolution and Decision
A formal response will be provided within 7 days.
If necessary, appropriate corrective action will be taken to resolve the issue.
4. Confidentiality
All grievances will be handled with discretion. Information will be shared only with those necessary to conduct a thorough investigation and resolution.
5. Non-Retaliation
We strictly prohibit retaliation against anyone who raises a grievance in good faith. Retaliation will be subject to disciplinary action.
6. Appeal Process
If you are unsatisfied with the outcome, you may request a review by submitting an appeal within 30 days. The appeal should include new evidence or valid reasons for reconsideration.
