Bridging the Gaps Enterprises Teaches Students About Financial Literacy
Dr. Crystal Juanita Adams, CEO of Bridging the Gaps Enterprises, visited DaVinci Connect High School to teach students about financial literacy. She shared that most teens (and adults) don't have access to the kind of information they need to make smart decisions about their financial future.
Dr. Adams believes that financial literacy should start at a young age, so that students have the knowledge and skills they need to make sound financial decisions throughout their lives. She covered a variety of topics in her presentation, including:
Choosing a career and understanding the financial implications
Earning an income and budgeting wisely
Using credit responsibly
Investing for the future
"It all starts with choosing a career and getting the full picture of what your life could look like," Dr. Adams said. "I have no problem if you want a Mercedes Benz. Let's build a career or lifestyle that can get you there."
Connect High School is excited to be rolling out a financial literacy curriculum to all students beginning in October. This curriculum will be based on the principles that Dr. Adams shared with the students, and it will provide them with the tools they need to make sound financial decisions throughout their lives.
Bridging the Gaps Enterprises is committed to helping people of all ages achieve financial literacy. We believe that everyone deserves to have the knowledge and skills they need to make informed financial decisions and build a secure financial future.
